My name is Brit Obenauer, though I paint under my middle names, Keiko Ivonne—a tribute to the two grandmothers who passed them down to me. These women inspire me to follow my heart, trust in myself, and continually expand my creative boundaries.

I find inspiration in the textures, colors, and light that surround us—from the wet asphalt drying in Brooklyn, to the sun rising over the ocean, to the swooshes of frosting on a cake. These moments, often gone with the blink of an eye, form the foundation of my paintings.

My paintings are always created with a specific place in mind, designed to complement the energy of a room. Whether it’s amplifying or contrasting the existing vibe, my goal is to create a bespoke piece that enhances the space and brings in the energy it needs.
